An off-site meeting of the presidium of the Vitebsk Regional Council of Deputies was held in Sharkovshchina

The issue of attracting unused state property into economic circulation was the focus of a field meeting of the presidium of the regional council of deputies, which took place in the Sharkovshchyna district. The head of the district executive committee, Dmitry Lomako, briefly spoke about the district, its history, and its present.

The deputy head of the district executive committee, Irena Buka, informed the attendees about the work being done in the Sharkovshchyna district to attract inefficiently used state property into economic circulation. In particular, she reported that 10 real estate objects are currently put up for sale in the district. These are mainly former social service buildings. Four objects were sold last year, and 16 were sold during the period 2017-2022.

The participants of the meeting visited the private enterprise "Khitch" in the agro-town of Navaselle. A sewing production facility has been organized in the premises of the former primary school. They produce men's clothing. 17 people are employed, and the average salary of the workers is 1200 rubles.

Reconstruction is underway in the vacant premises of the cannery to create a production facility. The director of "Organic Products" LLC, Igor Sadovsky, who is its owner, explained in detail that a multidisciplinary food processing production of fruits and vegetables is planned here. Fruit and vegetable processing, production of juices, jams, and potato products will be organized in the designated areas.

For many years, the vacant cinema building stood on May 1 Square in the district center. It was capital repaired three years ago. Currently, it houses retail outlets. Private enterprises and individual entrepreneurs rent the allocated spaces. Food and industrial goods, a cafe, as well as cosmetic services are available to the residents of Sharkovshchyna.

In conclusion of the field meeting, the Chairman of the Regional Council of Deputies, Vladimir Terentyev, emphasized that the local authorities are interested in attracting investments to their district. Vladimir Vladimirovich stressed that only through close cooperation between the authorities, investors, and private enterprises can a positive final result be expected. The experience of the Sharkovshchina residents in this area is worthy of emulation.
