An exhibition of blacksmithing works by masters from Belarus, Lithuania, Russia, and Ukraine has opened in Vitebsk
July 11, Vitebsk / Olga Bogacheva - BELTA /. An exhibition of works by blacksmith artists from Belarus, Russia, Ukraine and Lithuania has opened at the Vitebsk Regional Museum of Local Lore, a BELTA correspondent reports.
The exhibition, titled "Forged Metal. Harmony of Eternal Style," features over 60 works: decorative, ornate wine cabinets, log baskets, fireplace sets, unusually shaped candle holders, elegant dressing tables, furniture, and much more. However, visitors are most delighted by a barbecue grill shaped like a luxurious carriage (life-sized!), and people queue up to take pictures with a decorative group of peacocks resembling mythical firebirds.
Objects of amazing beauty, created by masters in various styles and techniques of blacksmithing, can be seen only until July 13. However, it is possible that by the end of the exhibition all its exhibits will be sold out, as even before the opening many were interested in purchasing a particular item, and one visitor has already managed to buy a cute fish-shaped candle holder as a gift for his beloved performer, who is performing today at the "Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk."
The organizers of the exhibition are the Vitebsk Regional Museum of Local Lore and the "OST" factory of artistic forged products. -0-
