An exhibition of satirical posters opened on April Fools' Day in Vitebsk

April 1, Vitebsk /Olga Bogacheva - BELTA/. An exhibition of satirical posters opened on April Fools' Day at the Vitebsk Regional Museum of Local Lore, the institution's cultural department informed a BELTA correspondent. The exhibition features 11 large-format posters by Minsk caricature artists from the 1970s. All works, accompanied by witty verses in Belarusian, along with their plots, reflect the spirit of their time and political trends in society: the fight against alcoholism and bribery. The authors also ridicule idler workers and their bosses, who with an air of importance point out the shortcomings of others, while secretly solving crosswords themselves. All the themes raised by the authors have not lost their relevance today. The posters can be viewed until April 5.-0-
