An exhibition of an artist-participant of the Great Patriotic War opened in Vitebsk

May 4, Vitebsk / Olga Bogacheva - BELTA /. An exhibition of an artist, a participant of the Great Patriotic War, opened today in Vitebsk, the Vitebsk Art Museum, where it is held, informed a BELTA correspondent. At the personal exhibition, Anatoly Kovalev presented 32 paintings of various formats. These include portraits of partisans and Heroes of the Soviet Union, soldiers, and thematic compositions dedicated to the war and the post-war period. Visitors to the exhibition will not remain indifferent to the sincere and direct manner of presenting images, thanks to which the viewer immediately establishes contact with the work, feeling all the emotions invested in it by the author. And this is not surprising, because the 84-year-old artist, being a soldier, went through the front lines from the Dvina to the Elbe during the war years. The exhibition is held as part of the project "Dedicated to the Great Victory: Vitebsk Artists - Participants of the Great Patriotic War". The project includes works by Pyotr Yavich and Alexander Solovyov. You can see the exhibitions until May 25. -0-
