The interaction between the Orthodox Church and educational institutions will be discussed at a conference in Vitebsk

Problems of interaction between the Orthodox Church and educational institutions will be the focus of the regional scientific and practical conference "Education of the Younger Generation on the Traditions of Orthodox Culture," which will open on October 28 in Vitebsk. This was reported to a BELTA correspondent by the Institute for the Development of Education of the Vitebsk Region. During the two-day event, the results of the work of educational institutions in the region on the implementation of the cooperation program between the Ministry of Education of Belarus and the Belarusian Orthodox Church will be summarized. The conference will be held at the Institute for the Development of Education and will bring together heads and specialists of universities, general education schools, and preschool institutions from all districts of the region, as well as the Vitebsk Theological School, in the regional center. Colleagues from the Pskov State Pedagogical University named after S. Kirov have shown interest in the developments of Vitebsk educators in the field of educating the younger generation on Orthodox traditions. The conference participants will analyze the main development trends and forms of partnership between educational institutions and the Orthodox Church in the spiritual and moral development of a child's personality, consider issues of methodological support for educational work in this direction, and discuss possible areas for improving cooperation in the future. The forum will feature presentations of the experience of educational institutions in the region in nurturing a moral personality based on the traditions of Orthodox culture, and an exhibition of methodological developments on this topic will be held. In addition, a round table will be organized at the conference on the topic "Partnership and Mutual Responsibility of Secular Institutions and the Orthodox Church in the Spiritual and Moral Education of Children and Youth," which will be held at the Vitebsk Theological School of the Vitebsk Diocese.
