March 17, Vitebsk / Diana Kurilo - BELTA /. The XIX International Festival of Arts "Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk" will be held from July 9 to 15. This was announced today at a press conference by the Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, Alexander Kosinets, reports a BELTA correspondent. The festival program will include events at the Summer Amphitheater venue: opening and closing concerts, Days of Belarus, Russia, Ukraine, the city of Moscow, a concert of the arts masters of the Union State, the international pop song performers contest "Vitebsk-2010", and solo concerts of pop stars. New elements of the festival's concert program will be three concerts for youth at an additional concert venue on Pobedy Square with the support of Belteleradiocompany: a performance by foreign rock bands as part of Europe Day, a concert by Raimonds Pauls together with the National Concert Orchestra of Belarus under the direction of Mikhail Finberg, and the STV TV project "Star Ring". The program will also include theater and exhibition projects, a film program, the "City of Masters" event, the 3rd regional festival-competition of straw-weaving masters "Paparats-kvetka", and the regional exhibition of folk souvenirs of Vitebsk region "Tsviatok radzimy vasilka". Amateur creative groups are scheduled to perform on the concert stages of the "City of Masters". The lighting design of the Summer Amphitheater dome, auditorium, and adjacent areas will be changed using a laser show. -0-
