Grain growers of Senno district dedicate the sowing campaign to the 65th anniversary of Victory

The grain growers of Senno district have dedicated the sowing campaign to the 65th anniversary of Victory, BELTA was informed at the Senno District Executive Committee. The campaign "We will complete sowing with high quality and in optimal terms - we will make a gift to the veterans!" is designed to support the agricultural workers. Leaflets with patriotic content and Victory symbols are posted in every agricultural enterprise, rural council, House of Culture, machine operator's yard, and even on tractors, and agitation events are being held. The desire to make a pleasant gift to the veterans for Victory Day has become the main incentive for all agricultural workers of Senno region. "Unfortunately, three days of rain have made their own adjustments, significantly affecting the speed of sowing. As of May 7, only 53% of the spring crop areas have been sown in the district, including 62% of the grain areas. However, despite the vagaries of the weather, it is planned to complete sowing within the next few days," specialists said. In Senno district, 22.4 thousand hectares are to be sown this year. In total, in Vitebsk region, 231.6 thousand hectares of spring crops, including 257 thousand hectares of grain crops. As of May 7, 59.5% of the planned areas have been sown in the region, including 76% of grain crops, the Committee for Agriculture and Food of the Regional Executive Committee reported. -0-
