Farms in the Vitebsk region were the first in Belarus to fulfill the state order for grain

August 15, Minsk /Tatyana Lobas - BELTA/. Farms in the Vitebsk region were the first in Belarus to fulfill the state order for grain sales. 135 thousand tons of grain have been delivered from agricultural organizations of the northern region to elevators and grain reception points, which is exactly 100% of the plan, the department of resources and trade of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Production informed BELTA correspondent.

According to specialists, farms in the Vitebsk region have made a significant breakthrough in delivering grain for the state order in recent days and have unexpectedly overtaken the previous leaders - farms in the Minsk and Mogilev regions. Agricultural organizations of the Mogilev region have moved to second place in terms of grain delivery to the state, having fulfilled their plan by 86.5% and shipped 138.4 thousand tons for the state order. Farms in the Minsk region coped with the state order by 84%, sending 201.7 thousand tons of grain for processing. Agricultural organizations of the Grodno region fulfilled the state order by 81.4%, shipping 162.8 thousand tons.

In general, farms in Belarus have fulfilled the state order for grain sales by almost 80%. 815.9 thousand tons of new crop grain have been received from agricultural organizations of Belarus for state republican needs. Elevators and grain reception points have already accepted 494.5 thousand tons of wheat, 258.3 thousand tons of rye, and 63.1 thousand tons of other crops, which is 86.8%, 86%, and 40.7% of the plan, respectively. In terms of quality, the new crop grain is better than last year's.

Deliveries for the state order are under special control of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Production, and heads of agricultural organizations bear personal responsibility. Due to rains, the grain requires additional drying and processing, and farms are successfully coping with this.

The state order this year amounts to 1 million 25 thousand tons of food grain and 175 thousand tons of rapeseed. Grain processing organizations must accept 570 thousand tons of wheat, 300 thousand tons of rye, and 155 thousand tons of other crops. The state order for food grain has been increased by 3.5% compared to last year.

85 organizations are involved in the 2011 harvest procurement, including 21 grain processing plants, 11 mixed feed plants, 10 grain reception enterprises, 4 procurement elevators, and 39 production sites. All grain procurement enterprises are operating 24/7.-0-
