Farms in the Vitebsk region have fulfilled more than 50% of the state order for grain
August 4, Vitebsk /Sergey Kochetov - BELTA/. Farms in the Vitebsk region have supplied almost 100 thousand tons of grain under the state order, which is about 53% of the plan, the head of the department for processing industry, procurement and product quality of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee's Agriculture and Food Committee, Alina Mironovich, told a BELTA correspondent.
All agricultural organizations are required to supply 186 thousand tons of grain under the state order, including about 135 thousand tons to grain processing plants, of which 70 thousand tons are food wheat, or 40% more than the state order for 2010, and 50 thousand tons of food rye. As of August 4, the state order for grain supplies for food needs has been fulfilled by almost 73%. This year, the grain has formed well, meets the standards for protein content, and the wheat gluten content corresponds to classes 3 and 2, which is a good result for the conditions of the Vitebsk region, noted Alina Mironovich.
The most active procurement work is being carried out in the Verkhnedvinsk and Glubokoye districts, where about 85% of the planned state order volume has been delivered, as well as in the Chashniki district, whose farms have supplied about 82% of the plan for the state order.
In addition, all districts of the region have begun to fulfill the state order for malting barley, which this year has been increased for the Vitebsk region by 3.5 times to 30 thousand tons. As of August 4, about 2 thousand tons of this crop have been received by procurement organizations. -0-
