Khrenin: Belarus has a full arsenal to inflict unacceptable damage on a potential aggressor
Belarus has a full arsenal to inflict unacceptable damage on a potential aggressor. This was stated by Defense Minister Viktor Khrenin at the VII All-Belarusian People's Assembly, responding to a question after a report on the Military Doctrine of Belarus.
"I would like to explain the logic that guided us in making such decisions (on the deployment of tactical nuclear weapons). You all know that our country was one of the first to voluntarily abandon the deployment of nuclear weapons. For this, we were promised respect for independence, sovereignty, and non-application of economic pressure. What do we see today? Everything has been violated. In the context of the aggressive policy of unfriendly states, we had to react," said Viktor Khrenin.
The Defense Minister emphasized that work had been done to deploy tactical nuclear weapons in Belarus. "This is an effective response to the aggressive policy of unfriendly states. We hope that we will be heard and they will stop escalating. After receiving tactical nuclear weapons, we have a full arsenal to inflict unacceptable damage on a potential aggressor," Viktor Khrenin stressed.

The head of the military department drew attention to the fact that this is not nuclear blackmail or intimidation. It is an opportunity to protect the state and ensure peace for Belarusians.
