Artists from Belarus, Russia, Ukraine, Latvia, and Lithuania will meet at the watercolor biennale in Polotsk

June 5, Vitebsk / Diana Kurilo - BELTA /. Artists from Belarus, Russia, Ukraine, Latvia, and Lithuania will gather today in Polotsk for the 2nd International Watercolor Biennial "Vada+Farba," the National Polotsk Historical and Cultural Museum-Reserve told a BELTA correspondent. Sixty watercolor artists, both renowned and not widely known to the public, will present 170 of their works at the art gallery of the museum-reserve. On the second day of the exhibition, June 6, masters of the brush and art historians will meet at a symposium to learn about the features of national watercolor schools. It is also planned to discuss issues of further development of this type of painting and the possibilities of its convergence with other forms of art. The Polotsk Watercolor Biennial aims to establish creative contacts between artists from different countries and to create new joint projects that promote Belarusian art worldwide. The "Vada+Farba" Biennial has every chance of becoming a traditional painting exhibition. -0-
