The prosecutor of the Vitebsk region has been dismissed for improper investigation of the explosion in Vitebsk
August 2, Minsk /BELTA/. Gennady Dysko has been dismissed from the post of Vitebsk Regional Prosecutor for improper investigation of the explosion in Vitebsk. This was reported to a BELTA correspondent by the Prosecutor General's Office.
By the order of the Prosecutor General of Belarus dated August 2, Senior Justice Counselor Gennady Dysko was dismissed from the post of Vitebsk Regional Prosecutor in connection with the investigation of the terrorist attack in the Minsk metro on April 11, 2011, and the preceding explosions in Vitebsk and Minsk, as well as the causes and circumstances of their commission.
As explained by the Prosecutor General's Office, he did not properly organize the work on investigating the explosions in September 2005 in Vitebsk. Dysko did not ensure systematic supervision of the preliminary investigation into the criminal case regarding the explosions of explosive devices in Vitebsk and the enforcement of legislation during the operational-search activities carried out by internal affairs bodies in the course of investigating these crimes. This allowed criminals to evade responsibility and ultimately led to the tragedy in the Minsk metro.-0-
