Procurement points of Vitebsk Regional Consumer Union have switched to an extended work schedule

September 18, Vitebsk / Diana Kurilo - BELTA /. The reception and procurement points of the Vitebsk Regional Union of Consumer Societies have switched to an extended working schedule, Nina Onishchik, head of the procurement and foreign economic activity department of the regional consumer union, told a BELTA correspondent. In the midst of the procurement season, it is possible to hand over surplus agricultural products or forest berries with mushrooms in the region until 8 p.m. Along with procurement points, consumer cooperation stores are engaged in purchasing from the population. In sparsely populated villages where there are no stationary retail outlets, mobile procurement agents operate. The mobile shops have all the necessary information on the terms and cost of procurement, and the sellers of mobile shops accept orders for apples. Despite the fact that Vitebsk region has the lowest apple yield this year compared to other regions, 11.3 thousand tons have already been procured with a plan of 14 thousand tons. In addition, cooperators purchased 30% more blueberries from the population than last year, procured over 100 tons of cranberries, and are preparing for the harvest of late mushrooms - milk mushrooms and autumn honey fungus. Procured apples go to the processing enterprises of the region, while forest berries are readily bought in Russia, Lithuania, and Latvia. More than 120 tons of berries have already been sent for export. -0-
