Deputy Prime Minister of Belarus Vladimir Kukharev and Head of the Ministry of Architecture and Construction Dmitry Mikulenok visited important construction sites in Novopolotsk
The technical re-equipment of the flagship enterprise of the "Belneftekhim" concern is a multipurpose strategy. Among other things, it is intended to increase the efficiency of the entire technological chain of the oil giant and reach the level of advanced European enterprises.
Comprehensive development is envisaged, including the creation of new production facilities and the reconstruction of existing capacities. An oil refining depth of about 90% and product quality that meets the requirements of the green economy are a guarantee of maintaining positions in global markets and successful diversification of the product line with a focus on innovative petrochemicals.
Vladimir Kuharev and Dmitry Mikulionok familiarized themselves with the operation of the development program facilities commissioned in recent years. These include the large-tonnage atmospheric distillation unit AT-8, hydrotreating unit No. 2, and a hydrogen production unit.
The route concluded with units for obtaining elemental sulfur and delayed coking of oil residues, which are under construction.
In Novopolotsk, the guests were also awaited by an important social facility. At the "Khimik" sports complex, the construction of a training ice arena using Canadian technology is nearing completion.
– The work is practically completed, and the builders are proceeding to commissioning. We can confidently say that by March 8, the residents of Novopolotsk will receive a good gift – a new arena that will allow people of different ages, including youth, to engage in sports, – said Vladimir Kuharev.
