The summer heat of the past week has given way to cool weather closer to the weekend. The average daily air temperature, which exceeded the climatic norm by 5-9 degrees and corresponded to July, approached its climatic norm in the second half of the week. Dry weather prevailed throughout the week, with short thunderstorms only in some areas on Wednesday. In the coming days, the main weather-forming factor will be a cool anticyclone over the Scandinavian Peninsula. It will cause cool, dry weather on May 25. The air temperature at night will be plus 3-8 degrees, in the Gomel and Mogilev regions - 9-11 degrees. Light frosts are likely in the Vitebsk region. During the day, it will be 15-21 degrees. In the daytime hours in the southeast of the republic, an increase in the northeast wind with gusts up to 15-18 meters per second is expected. Saturday will also be without precipitation. The wind will be moderate northeast. The air temperature at night will be plus 3-9 degrees Celsius, and during the day - 17-23 degrees. On May 27, the territory of the republic will remain under the protection of the anticyclone, which means that in many areas it will be mostly without precipitation. Only in the north will the influence of an atmospheric front moving from the neighboring regions of Russia be felt. Therefore, only in some places in the northern half, there is a possibility of short-term thunderstorms in the daytime hours. The air temperature at night is expected to be 4-10 degrees, and during the day - 16-23: 17 in the north of the republic, 23 in the south. On Monday and Tuesday, atmospheric pressure will begin to fall, which will increase cloudiness. Short-term rains will occur in some areas of the republic. The air temperature at night will be 5-12 degrees Celsius, and during the day - 19-25 degrees. In the last days of May, the weather will be determined by a low-pressure field. Short-term rains will occur in some places, the air temperature at night will be 7-14 degrees, and during the day - 21-28 degrees.
