A ban on swimming has been introduced in Vitebsk
June 12, Vitebsk /Olga Bogacheva - BELTA/. A swimming ban has been introduced in Vitebsk, the Vitebsk Regional Center for Hygiene, Epidemiology and Public Health informed a BELTA correspondent.
The swimming ban applies to the Western Dvina, Luchesa and Vitebsk rivers within the city limits, as the water in them does not meet the standards for microbiological indicators. Outside the regional center, for example, in the popular recreation area for citizens, the park named after the Soviet Army, swimming is allowed. The water in all other regions of the province also does not cause concern for now. Monitoring of its condition is carried out constantly, the center noted.
In general, 131 public recreation areas on rivers, lakes and reservoirs have been opened in the region for the current summer season. Recreation areas have been improved in 12 districts.-0-
