A ban on visiting forests has been introduced in three more districts of the Vitebsk region

August 16, Vitebsk / Olga Bogacheva - BELTA /. A ban on visiting forests has been introduced in Lepel, Glubokoye and Rossony districts of the Vitebsk region, the Vitebsk Production Forestry Association (VPFA) informed a BELTA correspondent. Thus, forests are now closed for visits in ten districts of the region. In addition to the aforementioned districts, the ban has been imposed in Vitebsk, Polotsk, Senno, Tolochin, Liozno, Dubrovno and Orsha districts, where the most fire-hazardous situation has developed. The measure taken has to some extent helped to stabilize the fire situation. "In particular, in the districts where the ban has been introduced, ignition sources are practically not registered. A single case, affecting a small area, occurred on August 14 in the Orsha forestry," the VPFA noted. No other forest fires were recorded in the region over the past weekend. Constant monitoring of the situation in the region's forest fund is carried out by forest protection officers and two aircraft patrolling the Polotsk and Vitebsk zones.-0-
