Kite flying, flash mobs, master classes. How Vitebsk will celebrate City Day
As part of the City Days, which will be celebrated in the regional center on June 26-28, a children's festival "Visiting Old Hottabych" will be held.
As is known, the author of the story about the kind and romantic wizard Lazar Lagin was born in Vitebsk. The organizers of the event will remind the young Vitebsk residents about this. The event will include contests for making flying carpets, drawings on asphalt, and various competitions for ingenuity and endurance.
In general, the festive program is designed for different categories of city residents, but the emphasis is on youth. In particular, demonstration performances by fitness clubs, vocal and dance contests, flash mobs, a bike race, and performances by historical reconstruction clubs are planned. The folk youth theater "Koleso" will present the musical tragicomedy-buff "Twilight. Sounds. Shadows…".
Interesting projects were proposed by some youth associations and initiative groups. For example, at the "Festival of Wind" in Mazurino Park, they will fly kites. Literary and music stages will open on Tolstoy Street, an all-city "photo drying" event, a handicraft fair, bookcrossing, and a free market (free mutual exchange of unnecessary things) will take place.
Those who wish can take part in a dance mini-marathon and master classes in swing, rock and roll, salsa, and also learn authentic Belarusian songs.
