The salary of building managers in the Vitebsk region now depends on accounts receivable for utility services

A new remuneration system for heads of housing and utility services enterprises (ZhRET) and housing and utility departments (ZhEU) has been introduced in the Vitebsk region since July 1, the head of the housing and communal services department of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, Andrei Shoretz, told a BELTA correspondent. Among the main indicators for which the manager will be rewarded or penalized are the presence of accounts receivable and the volume of paid services rendered to the population. In the Vitebsk region, over the past 6 months of the current year, overdue debt of the population to utility enterprises has increased from Br6.9 billion (as of January 1, 2009) to Br7.6 billion. The highest level of overdue accounts receivable from the population is observed in the Orsha, Vitebsk, Shumilino and Senno districts, as well as in Orsha and Vitebsk. Based on the results of January-May of the current year, the growth rate of paid utility services to the population was 101% compared to the same period last year. The established indicators are not met in 11 districts. -0-
