Construction of the central Vitebsk city polyclinic in the Yug-7 microdistrict is nearing completion

It is planned that the work at the facility will be completed this year. We visited the construction site and inquired about what has been done and how much work is still ahead.

The picture was outlined by the chief engineer of the separate structural unit "Construction Department No. 38" of OJSC "Construction Trust No. 9, Vitebsk", Sergey Sinitsky:

— Currently, work is underway on the installation of a ventilated facade, electrical equipment, plumbing, as well as landscaping of the territory.

A total of 12 subcontracting organizations are working at the facility, said Sergey Pavlovich. About 230 people are employed here every day, work is carried out in one shift with extended hours — until 7 p.m. daily, except Sundays.

Work at the construction site is in full swing, and it is already clear that the new polyclinic promises to become a unique modern medical institution in the city. Even the external appearance of the facility confirms this. The landscaping of the territory is successfully carried out by the Separate Structural Unit "Directorate of Mechanization and Special Works No. 140" under the leadership of chief engineer Pavel Zhurbenko. Around the building, there is a green lawn, neat paths have been laid, thuja trees are growing, and small architectural forms, benches, urns, and so on have been installed.

— We are completing the laying of tiles and curbs, and laying the foundation for concreting the driveway, — says P. Zhurbenko.

The driveway to the polyclinic will be asphalted on Wednesday, and now sand is being compacted with a special roller, which will soon be covered with crushed stone.

The presence of a fountain on the territory of the modern medical building adds a certain solemnity, for which commissioning works have already been carried out by the Aquatoria group of companies (Minsk). One can imagine that patients will enjoy spending time in the polyclinic complex while waiting or simply relaxing on comfortable benches by the fountain.

We enter the polyclinic through the main entrance, which will soon be decorated with a newly delivered fence installed by OJSC "Vitebsktorgstroy".

— Here will be the cloakroom, there — the security room, then — the pharmacy, — Sergey Sinitsky conducts an excursion around the facility.

We enter one of the future doctor's offices, where electricians, under the supervision of foreman Dmitry Suturin, are installing light fixtures. The foreman said that there is still a lot of electrical work to be done, but everything will be completed by the set deadlines.

We go up the stairs, where railings prepared for installation lie along the flights. Work continues on the installation of interior doors, tiling of floors and walls, painting, and other finishing touches.

And we found fourth-grade masons Evgeny and Dmitry building a smoke exhaust shaft, which is required by fire safety regulations.

The new polyclinic will also have a swimming pool, where commissioning work will begin soon after tiling.

From the first day of this large-scale city construction, foreman of OSP SU-38 Alexander Galaganov has been working here. He noted that there are all chances to complete the construction by November 7. Especially since there are no funding problems at the moment.

As we have written before, this healthcare facility will be able to receive up to 1500 patients per day, serving residents living from Builders Avenue to the railway and from Chernyakhovsky Avenue to P. Brovka Street. More than 57,000 people will be able to receive medical care here, which will relieve the burden on other polyclinics. The new medical facility will house adult and pediatric departments, as well as physiotherapy, a women's clinic, dentistry, and others.
