The large-scale reconstruction of the Novopolotsk oil depot has been completed, which has made it possible to double the cargo turnover
If previously the warehouse handled about 100 thousand tons of petroleum products annually, it is now planned to increase this figure to 200 thousand, and if necessary, up to 350 thousand. Reaching new capacities will allow the Novopolotsk warehouse to fully and timely supply petroleum products not only to industrialists, farmers, and gas stations in the Vitebsk region, but also to petroleum product supply enterprises in the Minsk, Mogilev, and Grodno regions.
Repair and construction work was carried out in stages over two years without stopping production. During this time, a number of transformations took place on the enterprise's territory, opening up new opportunities for the Novopolotsk oil depot, and not only in quantitative terms. For example, thanks to the installation of modern equipment, the technological processes of receiving, storing, and dispatching light petroleum products have been fully automated, ensuring maximum accuracy and speed of product shipment to customers. In turn, a packaging workshop for oils into small containers has been built in the dark petroleum products section.
It is worth noting that during the modernization, measures were taken to reduce the impact of harmful substances on the environment. For instance, a new system was installed to capture petroleum product vapors during loading and unloading operations.
The solemn opening of the renovated facility as part of an off-site extended meeting in Novopolotsk was attended by the management of OJSC "Naftan", the concern "Belorusneft" and all its subsidiaries for petroleum product supply, as well as representatives of OJSC "Polotsktransneft Druzhba" and "Gomeltransneft Druzhba". And such a high-level representation is not accidental. After all, this base (like the Mozyr one), unlike other storage facilities in the country, is directly connected to the refinery via a petroleum product pipeline.
Therefore, there can be no interruptions in fuel supply due to any "road" problems here.
