Enviable groom - Beijing Olympics silver medalist Vadim Devyatovsky to marry on October 9
October 8, Vitebsk / Diana Kurilo - BELTA /. One of Belarus's most eligible bachelors, hammer thrower Vadim Devyatovsky, silver medalist of the Beijing Olympics, will get married on October 9. Until recently, the handsome athlete's personal life remained a mystery. Vadim never told journalists about his innermost feelings, but on the eve of this significant event, he shared his joy with a BELTA correspondent.
His chosen one's name is Olga, and she is a lawyer by education. The couple have known each other for a long time; they studied at the university together and, as Vadim admitted, wanted to get married right after the Beijing Olympics. However, a conflict with the disciplinary commission of the International Olympic Committee and lengthy legal battles forced them to postpone their desired wedding. "A wedding is the most important event in my life. My whole life is connected with sports, but a person's destiny is family, children," the Olympian is confident.
According to Vadim, his parents' relationship will be an example of family relations for him. "Love and harmony have always reigned between my father and mother; the memory of this is alive in my heart," he said. -0-
