A $33 million clay brick production plant is planned to be built in the Chashniksky district
May 20, Vitebsk / Olga Bogacheva - BELTA /. A plant for the production of clay bricks is planned to be built in the Chashniki district. The investment project for its construction, costing $33 million, was presented at the international forum "Innovative Business - Investments in the Future", which opened today in Vitebsk, BELTA correspondent reports.
It is planned to create a new enterprise 5 km east of Novolukoml at the "Lukoml-1" clay deposit. According to the classification of reserves of deposits and predicted resources of solid minerals, by the conditions of occurrence, size, geological structure, thickness and quality, this clay deposit belongs to the 1st group. Its chemical composition is relatively stable, which allows the clay extracted here to be used in cement production with the introduction of only two correcting additives into the charge - silica and iron. The proven reserves of the deposit are 166.9 million cubic meters.
The investment attractiveness of the project lies in the availability of necessary labor resources (the population of Novolukoml is 14.2 thousand people), the proximity of a main gas pipeline (2.5 km), and the possibility of connecting to the "Graviynaya" substation (located 3 km away). In addition, the site for construction can be allocated at a distance of 1.2 km from the railway track and 150-200 m from the quarry. -0-
