"Woman of the Year - 2023" awarded in Vitebsk
- Parental Love Week, which started on October 14 on Mother's Day, the Intercession of the Most Holy Theotokos, ends today with Father's Day. This is a relatively new holiday in our country, designed to emphasize the important role of the father, - noted the Chairman of the Regional Council of Deputies, Dmitry Demidov. - This week was filled with a sense of deep appreciation and gratitude to our mothers and wives. As part of the festive week, many events were held, starting with the state forum "Conversations About What Matters" in Polotsk, which brought together families from different parts of the country. Here, the challenges faced by our families were discussed, as our state is subjected to targeted influence. Our society is exposed to destructive trends: childfree, late marriage, cohabitation, etc. And only by protecting the original spiritual values, our culture, which has been created over centuries, can Belarusians be protected from lies and the flow of destructive information. This will help preserve our nation, our land. Each family is a mini-state. Belarus is one united family that unites all Belarusians. Our most important values are love, creation, harmony and mutual assistance, and readiness to support each other. This is the main message of Parental Love Week. I sincerely wish everyone love, faith, hope, well-being, and good health. And may children's laughter be heard in as many homes, apartments, in our villages, and cities as possible.
The winners of the regional stage of the republican competition "Family of the Year - 2024", the Serafimov family, who worthily represented Vitebsk region in the final of the competition, presented their business card to the holiday guests.
Family dynasties Yatussevich from Vitebsk (the family dynasty has been working at VSMU since 1970), Sidorkin from Chashniki district (dynasty experience at the "Red Star Paper Mill" branch for over 258 years), Dorofeyev from Braslav district (family work experience at the Braslav Central District Hospital for 236 years), Sudakov – Klyotskin from the Vitebsk branch of the Belarusian Railway (family experience of over 250 years) and others took the stage to thunderous applause from the audience.
– Our family dynasty of medical workers began with my parents. Then my family and I became doctors, and now my grandson has also become a doctor, – said Natalia Grigoryeva, head of the therapy department of the Braslav Central District Hospital. – Currently, three people from our family work at the hospital. The total work experience as a doctor is over 236 years. We love our profession very much, we love our small homeland – Braslav region, that's why we all work together for its benefit.
Irina Zimnitskaya, Director of Secondary School No. 16 in Polotsk, winner of the "Successful Leader" nomination at the regional "Woman of the Year-2023" competition, emphasized that being a successful leader is easy when you have a team that fully supports you and brings ideas to life. - We strive with the team to achieve victory in everything we set out to do, - said the director. - It is important to approach your work with your soul. My soul is in the school, where fifteen hundred children study and over a hundred people work. Our motto is: "We are all better than everyone else."
As part of the event, the winners of the regional stage of the "Woman of the Year-2023" competition were awarded. They were 35 representatives of the fair sex who are not only professionals in their fields of work but also dedicate their souls to public service.
- The potential that every woman possesses can be realized when there are real men around, when the cheerful laughter of children is heard at home, when a woman knows that her family is supported and protected by the state. As part of Parental Love Week, we honor the best women of the Vitebsk region. These are both successful leaders and happy mothers who give their hearts to their children, - emphasized Marina Novitskaya, Head of the Main Department of Ideological Work and Youth Affairs of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, Chairperson of the regional organization of the Belarusian Women's Union. - The focus is on women from the regions: village council chairpersons know how to unite people around them, and thanks to their charisma and initiative, they do a lot of useful things. We must also note the work of those who actively participate in public life. We see and appreciate the projects they implement.
The winner in the nomination "Mistress of the Village" was Alesya Sinyakova, the chairperson of the Zaronevsky rural executive committee of the Vitebsk region. – I have been working as a chairperson for 3.5 years. My activity is connected with constant communication with people and providing them with assistance in ensuring a comfortable life, – the interlocutor noted. – Our rural council, like the Vitebsk region, recently celebrated its 100th anniversary. There are many young people, young families living in the rural council who actively support useful initiatives. I love my job because I see changes for the better. This is precisely what motivates further action.
