This was stated by Belarusian Information Minister Oleg Proleskovsky today at the Chashniki district festival "With Love for Women" in Novolukoml, a BELTA correspondent reports. According to him, Belarus, as a socially oriented state, pays great attention to supporting women, motherhood and family. All necessary conditions have been created in the country for women to realize themselves in various fields of activity and to occupy a worthy place in society. Representatives of the fair sex actively work in production and in the social sphere, participate in public activities, and engage in charity. "Belarus has many brilliant examples of women's life and labor achievements, models of maternal valor," Oleg Proleskovsky emphasized. The head of the ministry thanked all women for their significant contribution to state building. Oleg Proleskovsky presented letters of appreciation from the Ministry of Information to the district residents for their significant personal contribution to the implementation of the state information policy. "The Chashniki district is rich in good deeds, and the fair sex is largely a devotee of them," the Information Minister noted. Oleg Proleskovsky was elected a delegate to the IV All-Belarusian People's Assembly from the Chashniki district, so he promised to closely monitor the district's successes and provide its residents with all-round support in achieving new frontiers of socio-economic development. The district festival hosted the first ceremony honoring the nominees for the honorary title "Person of the Year of Chashnichchina-2010". The award ceremony was not by chance decided to be held on the eve of March 8, as out of 16 holders of this honorary title, half are women. In the musical part of the festive events at the Palace of Culture of Power Engineers, the Minsk vocal group "Chisty Golos" performed. -0-
