The draw for the participants of the children's "Vitebsk-2011" turned into a fairy-tale land of Lewis Carroll
July 11, Vitebsk /Tatyana Pastushenko - BELTA/. Participants of the IX International Children's Music Competition "Vitebsk-2011", which will be held during the XX International Festival of Arts "Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk", were ready to participate in the draw, but found themselves in Lewis Carroll's fairy tale "Alice in Wonderland", reports BELTA correspondent.
The children met numerous characters from the famous fairy tale. The Queen of Hearts treated them to tea, and together with the White Queen, they strolled through the magical land. Attractions were specially opened for the competition participants, they were offered to play interesting games and ride horses. The jury members could not resist the temptation either, who, as it turned out, are not only professional performers but also play croquet quite well.
Participants of "Vitebsk-2011" walked under improvised stars, sang, danced, and watched the performance of the equestrian sports club. Having had their fill of fun, the children proceeded to the draw, which took place in an unusual format in Mr. Carroll's magical land. Each young performer went to a gingerbread house where they could find huge multi-colored cups and saucers. The contestant could choose any tea set – the cup contained the serial number for the first competition day, and the saucer – for the second.
As a result, the serial numbers for the "Vitebsk-2011" days were distributed as follows: Gentleman (Azerbaijan) will perform under numbers 8 and 21, Anna Atroshchenko (Belarus) - 14 and 7, Alexandra Nekhay (Belarus) - 7 and 20, Martin Yordanov (Bulgaria) - 13 and 5, Salome Esadze (Georgia) - 6 and 11, Eva-Maria Zorn (Germany) - 5 and 13, Daniel Rubinstein (Israel) - 21 and 17, Kuralay Meirambek (Kazakhstan) - 2 and 22, Valeria Chuvizova (Latvia) - 15 and 10, Ekaterina (Lithuania) - 17 and 18, Anya (Macedonia) - 19 and 19, Lavinia (Moldova) - 3 and 9, Ewa Mociak (Poland) - 20 and 15, Grigory Kalaida (Russia) - 1 and 4, Olga Kozotzoeva (Russia) - 23 and 1, Raluca (Romania) - 22 and 14, Mata (Serbia) - 10 and 8, Diyera (Uzbekistan) - 12 and 23, Alina Ovcharenko (Ukraine) - 4 and 2, Maryana Shcherbak (Ukraine) - 16 and 3, Celine (Montenegro) - 18 and 12, Filip Antonio (Czech Republic) - 9 and 16, Maria Tsyhol (Estonia) - 11 and 6.
The vocal skills of the contestants will be evaluated by the Grand Prix winner of "Vitebsk-2004" Petr Elfimov (Belarus), popular Bulgarian singer Vlado Dimov, laureate of "Vitebsk-2006" Evelina (Lithuania), laureate of "Vitebsk-2007" Seb Sebastian (Poland), Grand Prix winner of "Vitebsk-2002" Ziki (Serbia), singer, Honored Artist of Ukraine Petya Chyorny. The jury will be headed by Honored Artist of Russia Sergey Shustitsky.
