Residents of Verkhnedvinsk will write 630 wishes on paper hearts for the city's anniversary

Verkhnedvinsk will celebrate its 630th anniversary with a wide range of events, as reported by the local district executive committee.

The main celebrations will take place from July 4 to 9. Throughout these days, the campaign "630 Wishes to Our Beloved City," initiated by the central district library, will be ongoing. Its staff, with the help of young people, will distribute paper hearts to passersby on the streets and guests of the festive events, asking them to write a wish for the city. Then, all the hearts will be collected, and this love-filled panel will be presented on July 9 at the main celebrations. July 5 will be dedicated to the patriotic youth event "The City as an Inheritance" - a local history sprint through the city streets.

Under the project "With a Book on a Bench," a bookmobile will operate at the playground near the pond on July 6: children will be shown books and photographs dedicated to Verkhnedvinsk. In the evening of the same day, residents will celebrate Kupala Night according to ancient traditions in the city park. In the following days, new playgrounds will open in two microdistricts. Visitors of the day care department for disabled people of the territorial social service center will also embark on a local history journey "The Most Important City on Earth," and fans of two-wheeled transport will be able to participate in a bike ride. The most extensive program "Praising Our Native City" is scheduled for July 9. A festive procession with the presentation of work collectives will take place on Yubileynaya Square. The city park will feature courtyards of rural councils and agricultural enterprises, festive trade, and enterprise exhibitions and sales. Various areas of the park will also host an art courtyard, children's attractions, a "Reading People's Avenue," an art alley, a city of masters, and more. A free microphone will be available for those who wish to dedicate poems to Verkhnedvinsk. And, of course, there will be plenty of music: a festive concert-dedication with a ceremonial part; performances by creative groups of the district; a concert by stars of the Belarusian stage; a youth dance and entertainment program. Sports grounds will also not be empty: competitions in beach volleyball, mini-football, and

sports festival among city schools. A special gift has been prepared for citizens and guests by the local history museum: from its walls, you can take an excursion on a horse-drawn carriage along the central streets. The concluding chord of the festivities will be a prayer service in honor of the 630th anniversary of Verkhnedvinsk in the city churches on the morning of July 10.
