Residents of the Vitebsk region will pay an additional Br560 million in income tax to the budget

Tax authorities of the Vitebsk region have charged citizens whose expenses exceeded their official income in the first half of the year with paying Br560 million in income tax, the press center of the Ministry of Taxes and Duties of the Republic of Belarus for the Vitebsk region informed a BELTA correspondent. As a result of the analysis of the correspondence between expenses incurred by individuals and their income received, conducted in January-June of the current year, as well as based on requests from law enforcement and supervisory authorities, the Vitebsk region inspectorates have requested 441 declarations of income and property. During the audits of 264 declarations, violations of the legislation on the declaration of income and property were identified. For failure to submit a declaration or for providing incomplete or unreliable information, the violators have been brought to administrative responsibility. The total amount of administrative fines imposed amounted to Br25 million. -0-
