For 5 years, the woman, traveling to Poland for goods, purchased jewelry there, which she then imported and sold in Belarus. The lady's main clients were local residents. Payment was made in Belarusian rubles or dollars. In the absence of sufficient funds, installments were provided. The service also included accepting orders for jewelry of interest.
During her activities, the resident of the Miory district sold 36 units of gold items of the 583rd fineness. She assured buyers of the higher quality of the jewelry, referring to the 585th fineness mark stamped on them.
For violating the rules on transactions with precious metals and stones, a criminal case has been initiated against the enterprising lady under Art. 223 of the Criminal Code of Belarus. All 36 sold gold jewelry items have been seized and recognized as material evidence. Their further fate, as well as the measure of punishment for the lawbreaker, will be determined during the court proceedings.-0-
