February 14, Vitebsk / Diana Kurilo - BELTA /. A living Valentine will appear on February 14 at 2 p.m. on the largest square in Vitebsk - Victory Square. Marina Tikhonova, editor of "Radio Vitebsk," which is the initiator and organizer of the project, told a BELTA correspondent about the unusual event. The idea to confess love to their hometown and congratulate it on Valentine's Day was born on the air of the radio and immediately found support among young, creative listeners. It is expected that everyone who comes to the largest square at the appointed time will receive balloons and form a heart shape, and then, on command, release the balloons into the sky simultaneously. "In this unusual way, we want to express how much we love our hometown, how happy we are with how beautiful it becomes every year, and also to entertain the citizens a little on this frosty February day," admitted Marina Tikhonova. The Department for Youth Affairs of the regional executive committee, public organizations, including volunteers of the regional organization of the Red Cross, supported the idea of the radio journalists. By the way, in the evening, Red Cross volunteers will go to the last screening at the Cinema House to congratulate all couples in love on St. Valentine's Day and urge them to cherish love and remain faithful to each other. -0-
