This task was set for the utility services by the chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, Alexander Kosinets, at a meeting of the committee today, BELTA correspondent reports. According to the department of housing and communal services of the regional executive committee, in the heating season of 2011-2012, heat losses in the subordinate enterprises amounted to 19.7%. In monetary terms, this exceeded Br6 billion. According to the head of the department of housing and communal services, Yuri Dyadelo, in the upcoming heating season of 2012-2013, heat losses should not exceed 17%. To achieve this, an inventory of heating networks and boiler houses will be carried out in the region. "Such losses cause direct economic damage to the state," Alexander Kosinets stated. Utility workers must achieve a twofold reduction in heat loss and bring it down to the level of 3-8%. The governor demanded that the heads of services bear personal responsibility for the inefficient use of energy resources and non-fulfillment of the requirements of Directive No. 3 "Economy and thrift are the main factors of the state's economic security."
