Zyuzya Pazierski salts snowballs and prepares a salute of positive emotions for the arrival of tourists

December 9, Vitebsk / Diana Kurilo - BELTA /. Zyuzya Poosersky will show how to eat salted snowballs and, in honor of his guests, will give a salute of positive emotions, Egor Shushkevich, director of the Postavy Center for Tourist Services, told a BELTA correspondent. For the sixth year, a character of ancient Slavic mythology, the deity of cold and frost, often called the great-grandfather of Ded Moroz, has been living near Postavy. Seven magical kilometers from the district center, he built his estate - Zyuzeva Okolitsa, and annually, together with his friends - ancient Slavic deities, receives numerous tourists there. This year, Zyuzya will celebrate the holidays in his own house. As is customary for a housewarming party, guests will be treated to salted snowballs. And if they don't like them, Zyuzya will not be offended; a traditional treat with herbal tea, pancakes, and gingerbread cookies will always be ready for guests in the tavern. Along with Zyuzya, Aunt Agatha, Laznik - the banya dweller, and Khapun, who is ready at any moment to grab mischief-makers on a narrow path and put them in a bag, await tourists. The folk crafts fair "Pooserskiye Zabavki" will again operate at the estate, so that everyone who wishes can take a souvenir from Zyuzya. An updated theatrical show also, by tradition, awaits guests. And at its conclusion, a salute with flashes will illuminate the evening sky of Postavy. Zyuzya Poosersky has already become a symbol of the Postavy region and has even sparked interest in the history of folklore. A club "Kola Svaroga" was formed at the center for tourist services, whose members have undertaken the study and restoration of ancient Slavic myths and customs. According to Egor Shushkevich, thanks to the discoveries of amateur folklorists, Zyuzeva Okolitsa will be able to gain new residents, and tourists will learn even more about the traditions of Belarusians. Zyuzya Poosersky will begin the current season on December 17. As before, the first guests will be local schoolchildren - excellent students, activists, and winners of subject Olympiads. According to Egor Shushkevich, last year, during the winter holidays, more than 6,000 people visited the residence of Zyuzya Poosersky. Tourists from Russia, China, Germany, Italy, and Poland saw the legendary ancient Slavic hero with their own eyes. This year, the number of guests will be no less - travel agencies have begun booking dates for meetings with Zyuzya Poosersky.
