The autumn investment forum in Vitebsk concludes with investors getting acquainted with the regions of the province

Investors' acquaintance with the regions of the oblast concludes the autumn investment forum in Vitebsk, the Economy Committee of the Vitebsk Oblast Executive Committee informed a BELTA correspondent. The large-scale event was fruitful for all parties. Six agreements were concluded for a total amount of over $180 million. In particular, a memorandum of intent was signed between the Vitebsk City Executive Committee and "EthnoPark" LLC (Vitebsk) on the creation of an ethnographic park of culture. In accordance with the project, it will reflect the characteristic features of the national architecture of peasant houses, everyday life and cuisine of the peoples of Belarus, Russia, Ukraine, Poland, Lithuania and Latvia. Logistikas Partneri SIA (Latvia) was attracted by the investment proposal of the Orsha Aircraft Repair Plant for the development of freight transport logistics, and "Tatbelnefteprodukt" IOOO (Tatarstan) – by the opportunity to develop a network of gas stations in the Vitebsk region. Representatives of the Tatarstan company signed two agreements on the construction of gas stations in the Tolochinsky and Dokshitsky districts. The development of the roadside service network in the Pridvinye region will receive a new impetus. A memorandum of intent on the creation of facilities in this area was concluded by the Dokshitsky District Executive Committee and "LesTransExport" LLC (Minsk), as well as the Senevsky District Executive Committee and "Margen" ODO (Senevsky District). The investment forum on October 15-16 was attended by representatives of 40 companies from Russia, Poland, Latvia, as well as diplomatic missions. The economic entities of all regions of Pridvinye presented 140 projects to their attention. The main part of the proposals was related to the creation of production facilities for processing local raw materials – wood, dolomite, clay, peat. The regions of the oblast presented investment projects for the development of roadside services, tourist infrastructure, and the creation of transport and logistics centers. Processing enterprises of the region organized an exhibition of their products. One of the main events was also the first-time organized exhibition-fair-show "Vitebsk Linen", during which linen products were demonstrated. The autumn business forum was the third in the current year. The previous two allowed for the conclusion of 54 agreements totaling $480 million.
