Audience interest in the "Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk" has significantly increased - R. Bass
June 24, Vitebsk / Sergei Kochetov - BELTA /. Vitebsk residents and city guests show great interest in the concerts and events of the XIX International Festival of Arts "Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk". This trend was noted today at a press conference by the Director of the Vitebsk Culture Center, Director of the Festival Directorate, Rodion Bass, a BELTA correspondent reports.
According to Rodion Bass, all tickets for 11 concerts have already been sold, with tickets for some artists' performances being sold out in a matter of hours. Concerts by several other performers are close to being sold out. One of the trends this year is the large number of applications from other cities, including Russian ones. "According to our data, about 60% of the purchased tickets were bought by citizens and organizations from other cities," said the festival director. In addition, some tickets were provided to Vitebsk travel agencies, which included visits to festival events in specially formed tours.
"The audience interest we are observing in the current festival can only be compared to the early years of the 'Slavianski Bazaar'," believes Rodion Bass. According to him, the organizers have drawn conclusions based on the results of last year's song forum, when just over 62% of tickets were sold by the end of the "Slavianski Bazaar". This year, ticket prices have remained at last year's level and range, for example, from Br10,000 to Br350,000 for concerts in the Summer Amphitheater (the most expensive are for the opening concert).
This year, the organizers plan to earn about Br4.5 billion from ticket sales (in 2009, Br4.3 billion was received). -0-
