The "Star March" through the places of military and labor glory of the Belarusian people will stop in the Vitebsk region on January 28

On January 28, as part of the international 55th Star March along the places of military and labor glory of the Belarusian people, a delegation of students and teachers of the Educational Institution "BSPU named after M. Tank" (15 people, including students from the Russian Federation, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Republic of Uzbekistan) will visit the military memorial in the village of Shapyry, Vitebsk region.

The purpose is to pay tribute to those who fell during the war, one of whom is the great-grandfather of a delegate from the Republic of Kazakhstan – Zhuvanshpayev Kamali, born in 1911, buried on the territory of the memorial complex.

During the event on January 28, 2020, at 11:00 AM, a solemn rally will be held at the memorial complex in the village of Shapyry, Vitebsk region. A meeting of students with participants of the international 55th Star March will take place at the Educational Institution "Oktyabrskaya Secondary School of Vitebsk Region".

The Belarusian State Pedagogical University named after Maxim Tank will hold the international 55th Star March of students and teachers along the places of military and labor glory of the Belarusian people from January 28 to January 31, 2020, dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War.

Participants of the march (more than 270 students and teachers) will visit the Borisov, Vileyka, Pukhovichi, Slutsk and Soligorsk districts of the Minsk region, the Pinsk district of the Brest region, the Orsha district of the Vitebsk region, the Smorgon district of the Grodno region, and the Osipovichi district of the Mogilev region. During the march, students and teachers will meet with veterans of the Great Patriotic War, provide them with patronage assistance, hold rallies and lay flowers at the mass graves of soldiers and civilians who died during the war, perform with concert programs in schools of the regions, hold career guidance meetings with high school students, and organize master classes and sports competitions.

Participants of the international 55th Star March will join the Republican campaign "For the Glory of the Common Victory!" and will take part in collecting soil from the mass graves of soldiers and civilians who died during the war in the visited regions, and then will hand over capsules with soil for

placing them in the Crypt of the All Saints' Church-Memorial.

Along with students of BSPU, students of L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University (Republic of Kazakhstan), Moscow Pedagogical State University (Russian Federation), Novosibirsk State Pedagogical University (Russian Federation), Russian State Vocational Pedagogical University (Russian Federation), and Nizami Tashkent State Pedagogical University (Republic of Uzbekistan) will take part in the Star Campaign.

A solemn rally dedicated to the start of the 55th International Star Campaign will be held on January 27, 2020, from 12:00 to 13:30 at the "Victory" museum and park complex near the memorial sign in honor of citizens of all nationalities who liberated Belarus from the Nazi invaders (8 Pobediteley Avenue).
